Amazon CloudFront announces API support for flat-rate pricing plans

Amazon CloudFront now allows customers to programmatically subscribe, manage, upgrade, downgrade, and cancel flat-rate pricing plans using AWS CLI, SDKs, CloudFormation, CDK, or the PricingPlanManager API

Customers can now subscribe to and manage flat-rate plans via AWS CLI, AWS SDKs, CloudFormation, CDK, or the PricingPlanManager API. The CloudFront flat-rate plan covers global content delivery, WAF, DDoS, DNS, logging, and edge computing for one monthly fee, eliminating overages from traffic spikes or attacks. Previously limited to the console, subscriptions can now be automated through APIs and infrastructure-as-code tools. Paid plans support a two-step activation flow-create then approve-to prevent unintended charges, ideal for automated provisioning. Free plans activate immediately without approval. Using the PricingPlanManager API incurs no additional cost.
