Amazon WorkSpaces Applications adds support for NVIDIA Blackwell GPU instances
Amazon WorkSpaces Applications now supports Graphics G7 instances powered by NVIDIA RTX PRO 4500 Blackwell Server Edition GPUs and Intel Xeon Scalable (6th Gen) processors, improving performance for graphics-intensive workloads.
Amazon WorkSpaces Applications supports Graphics G7 instances with NVIDIA RTX PRO 4500 Blackwell Server Edition GPUs and Intel Xeon Scalable (6th Gen) processors. This enables streaming demanding professional applications such as CAD/CAM, 3D rendering, scientific visualization, video editing, and AI-assisted design workflows at higher fidelity and frame rates. G7 instances offer 32 GB of GDDR7 memory per GPU and 2.67x memory bandwidth for streaming larger, more complex 3D scenes and models. They come in six sizes with 1 to 8 GPUs, 8 to 192 vCPUs, and 32 GB to 768 GB of system memory, available in US East (N. Virginia), US East (Ohio), and US West (Oregon).
Why it matters
This update affects users with graphics-intensive workloads. Users running applications that require high-performance graphics processing can now achieve smoother performance and more detailed rendering.
