Amazon Simple Email Service (SES) now supports Secure/Multipurpose Internet Mail Extensions (S/MIME) signing. Recipients can verify that emails were sent by the From address holder and that the content was not altered in transit. Instead of signing each message before sending it to SES, users can store a signing certificate in AWS Certificate Manager and enable S/MIME signing for the sender identity, allowing SES to automatically sign messages. Recipients using email clients that do not support S/MIME can read messages as usual. This feature is available in all AWS regions where Amazon SES is offered.
