Amazon EC2 C8gb instances now generally available in additional regions
Amazon EC2 C8gb instances are now generally available in additional regions, offering up to 30% better compute performance and higher EBS performance compared to Graviton3-based instances
Amazon EC2 C8gb instances are now generally available in US East (Ohio), US West (N. California), EU (Frankfurt, Ireland, Paris, Stockholm), and Africa (Cape Town) regions. These instances feature the latest AWS Graviton4 processors, delivering up to 30% higher compute performance than AWS Graviton3-based EC2 instances. They offer up to 300 Gbps EBS bandwidth and 1600 K IOPS, achieving higher EBS performance than similarly sized Graviton4-based instances. These instances support up to 48xlarge sizes, up to 384 GiB of memory, up to 300 Gbps EBS bandwidth, and up to 400 Gbps network bandwidth. The 16xlarge, 24xlarge, and 48xlarge sizes support Elastic Fabric Adapter (EFA) networking for improved inter-cluster low latency and cluster performance.
Why it matters
Amazon EC2 C8gb instances, powered by AWS Graviton4 processors, deliver higher compute performance and EBS bandwidth for workloads requiring high-performance file systems and large-scale data processing
