AWS Config now supports 77 new resource types

AWS Config adds support for 77 new resource types across key services like Amazon EC2, Amazon S3 Files, and Amazon Q Business, expanding coverage for better resource discovery, assessment, auditing, and remediation.

AWS Config adds 77 new resource types for key services such as Amazon EC2, Amazon S3 Files, and Amazon Q Business. This expansion enables broader coverage of AWS environments, improving the effectiveness of resource discovery, assessment, auditing, and remediation. When recording is enabled for all resource types, AWS Config automatically tracks these new additions. The new resource types are also available for Config rules and Config aggregators, allowing monitoring of these types across all available AWS regions.

Why it matters
