Amazon EC2 C9g, C9gd, M9g, and M9gd instances are now available in additional regions
Amazon EC2 C9g, C9gd, M9g, and M9gd instances are now available in Asia Pacific (Malaysia, Seoul, Singapore) and Europe (Spain) regions, powered by AWS Graviton5 processors for improved compute performance.
Starting today, Amazon EC2 C9g and C9gd instances are available in Asia Pacific (Malaysia, Seoul, Singapore) regions, and M9g and M9gd instances in Asia Pacific (Malaysia) and Europe (Spain) regions. These instances feature AWS Graviton5 processors, AWS's custom-designed 5th generation CPU, delivering the best price performance for a wide range of workloads on Amazon EC2. They offer up to 25% higher compute performance than AWS Graviton4-based C8g, C8gd, M8g, and M8gd instances, with up to 30% faster databases, up to 35% faster web applications, and up to 35% faster machine learning. Built on the 6th generation AWS Nitro System, they include the Nitro Isolation Engine for mathematically proven isolation of customer workloads from each other and from AWS operators. C9g instances are ideal for compute-intensive workloads such as high-performance computing (HPC), batch processing, gaming, video encoding, scientific modeling, distributed analytics, CPU-based machine learning (ML) inference, real-time analytics, and ad serving. M9g instances suit a broad range of general-purpose workloads including application servers, microservices, gaming, caching, and containers, and also provide the performance needed for agent-based AI use cases like real-time inference, code generation, and multi-step orchestration. C9gd and M9gd instances add local NVMe-based SSD block-level storage for scratch space, temporary files, and caching. These instances can be purchased through Savings Plans, On-Demand, Spot Instances, Dedicated Instances, or Dedicated Hosts in these regions. Elevate your compute with AWS Graviton and get started with C9g and M9g today.
