Region expansion

Amazon EC2 Hpc8a instances are now available in Asia Pacific (Singapore)

Amazon EC2 Hpc8a instances, powered by 5th Gen AMD EPYC processors, deliver up to 40% higher performance and up to 25% better price performance compared to Hpc7a instances

Amazon EC2 Hpc8a instances are now available in the Asia Pacific (Singapore) region, featuring 5th-gen AMD EPYC processors (code-named Turin) with speeds up to 4.5GHz, delivering up to 40% better performance and 25% improved price performance over Hpc7a instances. They also offer up to 42% higher memory bandwidth, boosting performance for memory-intensive simulations and scientific computing workloads. Built on the latest 6th-gen AWS Nitro Cards, Hpc8a instances are designed for compute-intensive, latency-sensitive HPC workloads such as computational fluid dynamics (CFD), weather forecasting, explicit finite element analysis (FEA), and multiphysics simulations that require fast, consistent high-performance inter-node communication. To get started, sign in to the AWS Management Console. For more details, see the Amazon EC2 Hpc8a instance page or the AWS News Blog.
