AWS Batch now publishes job metrics to Amazon CloudWatch

AWS Batch now automatically publishes job metrics to CloudWatch, providing visibility into job queue health, failure rates, and job durations across the job lifecycle

AWS Batch publishes job metrics to Amazon CloudWatch, providing native visibility into batch workloads. It generates metrics throughout the job lifecycle, showing queue health, failure rates, and job execution times. Job state transitions and execution time metrics are automatically published to the AWS/Batch namespace with the JobQueueName dimension. These metrics, accessible via the AWS Batch console, CloudWatch console, AWS CLI, or SDKs, track job counts per state (submitted, running, succeeded, failed) and times (time to runnable, total execution time).

Why it matters

AWS Batch provides job management and scheduling for batch processing workloads. This update enables users to monitor job status and execution times in more detail through CloudWatch

Regions: Same as AWS Batch
