AWS now offers Claude Haiku 5.5, the fastest and most efficient model in the Anthropic Claude 5.5 family. Built for sub-agents and high-volume, cost-sensitive tasks, it reduces costs by about 75% compared to Claude Haiku 4.5. It features effort control to balance cost and intelligence per task. Haiku 5.5 is ideal for real-time experiences like voice agents and live support, as well as high-volume tasks such as classification, summarization, and extracting key fields from documents. It can also serve as a fast, cost-effective sub-agent. Customers can access Haiku 5.5 through Amazon Bedrock or the Claude Platform on AWS, which provides Anthropic's native platform experience integrated with AWS billing and authentication.
