Amazon MSK Connect now allows you to pause and resume connectors, enabling safe temporary stops during maintenance or issue investigation without deleting and recreating them
Amazon MSK Connect is a fully managed service for deploying, monitoring, and scaling Apache Kafka Connect connectors on Amazon MSK. This update adds the ability to pause and resume connectors, allowing safe stoppage during source database or sink target maintenance or while investigating upstream/downstream issues. Connectors no longer need to be deleted and recreated, and their configurations, capacity, and offsets are preserved upon resumption. The feature is available across all AWS regions where Amazon MSK Connect is offered via the Amazon MSK console, AWS CLI, AWS SDK, and AWS CDK at no additional cost.
