AWS Brazil automates distribution of non-Brazilian software product licenses to Brazilian customers
AWS Brazil now offers an automated workflow for non-Brazilian ISVs to distribute SaaS licenses in Brazil, handling invoicing, tax calculation, and payments in Brazilian Reais as the seller of record.
AWS Brazil provides an automated workflow through the AWS Brazil 2P Distribution Program, enabling non-Brazilian independent software vendors (ISVs) to distribute SaaS product licenses in Brazil. Eligible ISVs grant Brazil distribution rights for their SaaS product licenses to AWS Brazil via AWS Partner Central or public APIs. AWS Brazil acts as the record seller, creating private offers for Brazil customers, setting customer prices, automatically generating invoices with tax calculations, and allocating payments. ISVs can track transactions and payment status via the Seller Insights dashboard. Brazil purchasers receive private offers in USD from AWS Brazil and are invoiced in BRL, with payment options including credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express) or Pay by Invoice (PBI). Purchase order numbers can be added, and invoices accessed via the AWS Billing Console.
Why it matters
This update impacts non-Brazilian software vendors targeting the Brazilian market and companies looking to offer SaaS products to Brazilian customers. By acting as the seller of record, AWS Brazil automates local currency invoicing and tax calculations, simplifying the sales process.
