Kubernetes version 1.37 introduces new features including general availability of the Metrics API and Dynamic Resource Allocation device plugins and relationships, and beta support for Horizontal Pod Autoscaler scale-to-zero. AWS now enables Kubernetes version 1.37 for Amazon EKS and Amazon EKS Distro. From today, you can create new EKS clusters or upgrade existing clusters to version 1.37 using the EKS console, eksctl command line interface, or infrastructure-as-code tools. EKS supports Kubernetes version 1.37 in all available AWS regions, including AWS GovCloud (US). For details on available Kubernetes versions in EKS and instructions to update clusters to version 1.37, see EKS documentation. Use EKS cluster insights to check for any issues affecting Kubernetes cluster upgrades. Builds of EKS Distro Kubernetes version 1.37 are available in the ECR public gallery and GitHub. For details on the EKS version lifecycle policy, see the documentation.
