New feature

Amazon Aurora DSQL now supports partial indexes

Amazon Aurora DSQL now supports partial indexes, allowing you to index only specific rows to improve query performance and reduce index storage costs

Amazon Aurora DSQL now allows indexing specific subsets of a table, storing only relevant rows to improve query performance and reduce index storage costs. By adding a WHERE clause to CREATE INDEX, you can index only the working set, keeping the index small as the table grows and reducing data reads for relevant queries. Aurora DSQL uses partial indexes for queries whose filters match the index condition, available in all AWS regions where Aurora DSQL is offered. For details, see CREATE INDEX in the Aurora DSQL user guide.
