AWS HealthOmics expands container registry support for private workflows
AWS HealthOmics now supports container images from registries like Seqera (Wave), NVIDIA NGC, and Google Artifact Registry, enabling private workflows to use these images without manual migration to Amazon ECR
AWS HealthOmics now supports using container images from third-party registries such as Seqera (Wave), NVIDIA NGC, and Google Artifact Registry. This allows HealthOmics to copy these registry container images to Amazon ECR for private workflows, eliminating the need to retrieve images solely through Amazon ECR pull-through cache (PTC). Private workflows can now access both the Amazon ECR pull-through cache registry and the newly supported third-party container registries.
Why it matters
AWS HealthOmics helps healthcare and life sciences customers accelerate scientific breakthroughs at scale with fully managed bioinformatics workflows. This update provides more flexibility for using container images in private workflows.
