New feature

Amazon DCV releases version 2026.0 with RHEL 10 support and new clients

Amazon DCV adds support for RHEL 10, Rocky Linux 10, CentOS 10, and Ubuntu 26.04, introduces a new macOS client, and improves performance and redirection features

Amazon DCV 2026.0 is now available, adding support for RHEL 10, Rocky Linux 10, CentOS 10, and Ubuntu 26.04, enabling Linux hosts and sessions to run on the modern Wayland display server. A new macOS client introduces gamepad support, while Windows and Linux clients have also been updated. Windows hosts now feature URL redirection, launching configured links in the client's local browser during remote sessions, and printer preference redirection allows remote sessions to access client-side printer settings. Performance improvements include H.264 frame slice support and slice-based multithreaded decoding on Linux and macOS clients, reducing latency. New macOS server versions on Amazon EC2 are also supported. Details are available in the release notes or on the Amazon DCV webpage.
