Amazon RDS for SQL Server now supports the latest cumulative update (CU8) for Microsoft SQL Server 2025, available as RDS version 17.00.4075.5.v1

Amazon RDS for SQL Server now supports the latest Microsoft SQL Server cumulative update (CU). This release includes Microsoft SQL Server 2025 CU8 KB5104822 (RDS version 17.00.4075.5.v1). For details on improvements and fixes in these updates, see Microsoft's KB5104822 documentation. We recommend upgrading your Amazon RDS for SQL Server instances using the Amazon RDS Management Console, AWS SDK, or CLI. For guidance on upgrading the RDS Microsoft SQL Server DB engine, refer to the Amazon RDS SQL Server User Guide.
