New feature

AWS Glue zero-ETL adds target table property ownership and conflict detection

AWS Glue zero-ETL integrations now detect table property conflicts and track integration ownership, giving data teams predictable control over where source tables land.

AWS Glue zero-ETL integration now detects conflicting table properties and tracks integration ownership. When configuring source tables and target catalogs, Glue associates the resulting table properties with the owning integration, ensuring no two integrations point to the same target table. This feature works with Amazon S3 tables and SageMaker Lakehouse catalogs, giving data teams predictable control when running multiple zero-ETL integrations. If an integration's table properties are owned by another integration, Glue identifies the owning integration and guides users to select a different target or update the existing one, keeping pipelines isolated and data placed precisely where intended. This functionality is available in all AWS commercial and AWS GovCloud (US) regions where AWS Glue zero-ETL integration is supported.

Why it matters

This update is particularly useful for data teams running multiple zero-ETL integrations, providing predictable control over where source tables land.
