AWS Well-Architected Agent is now available in preview
AWS Well-Architected Agent, the next-gen evolution of AWS Trusted Advisor and the AWS Well-Architected Tool, analyzes and optimizes AWS infrastructure across cost, security, performance, and reliability, delivering contextualized recommendations prioritized by business goals.
AWS has introduced AWS Well-Architected Agent, an AI-powered service evolving from AWS Trusted Advisor and AWS Well-Architected Tool. The agent analyzes AWS infrastructure for cost, security, performance, and reliability, prioritizing recommendations aligned with business goals. It automatically compares key metrics and application topologies against Well-Architected best practices, examining Terraform, CDK, and CloudFormation templates to suggest automatable fixes. Teams can define business objectives and receive prioritized recommendations at resource, application, and architecture levels. For example, reliability-focused teams may receive suggestions to add multi-AZ failover to critical databases, automating configuration changes via SSM runbooks while previewing impacts on cost and performance. Recommendations, where appropriate, include SSM runbooks, CLI scripts, or console-guided walkthroughs to accelerate implementation. The agent also automatically reviews IaC templates, including Terraform, CloudFormation, and CDK, identifying gaps and returning IaC code changes aligned with Well-Architected best practices. Access to AWS Well-Architected Agent and its recommendations is available in US East (N. Virginia), US East (Ohio), and US West (Oregon), provided by AWS Support for AWS customers with a support plan.
